I’m delighted to collaborate with Your Pregnancy Magazine again to share real life South African birth stories, complete with photos.

Elisha’s father wrote their home birth story. I’m thrilled to have captured the memories for them and their beautiful family. To see it in real life, be sure to pick up the current issue of Your Pregnancy magazine on stands now. See more of their birth story photos here.

I joined the Hofmeyrs at one of their favorite spots filled with memories for them, the Protea Hotel Durbanville for their mini-maternity shoot. Mini-maternity sessions are offered complimentary with my birth packages. Its 30 minutes, one location, one outfit and 15 gorgeous images for you to treasure long after you are done being pregnant.

If you can believe it, she is 38 weeks pregnant here! In some photos, I had to figure out a way to even show that she had a belly. Their tenderness and eager expectation for this miracle baby is so evident. They don’t know their child’s gender who was on the way any day. We joked that it would be funny if we continued this shoot straight to the hospital if she went into labour! Check back for their birth story and newborn shoot.

I met up with Chantelle, her husband and their oh-too-cute dogs in the garden of their Southern Suburbs home for a relaxed mini-maternity session. It took alot of treats but we got some lovely shots of all of them together.

I’m delighted to collaborate with Your Pregnancy Magazine again to share real life South African birth stories, complete with photos. Leja’s mother wrote her memorable birth story, a Christmas morning birth. I’m thrilled to have captured the memories for them. Its a Christmas morning I will never forget.

To see it in real life, be sure to pick up the current issue of Your Pregnancy magazine on stands now.

Remember Genevieve’s beautiful maternity shoot? Kylo was born (isn’t that just an awesome name?) and about a week later I came to their home in Cape Town for a relaxed newborn shoot that allowed time for feedings and nappy changes. Kylo’s father is a master craftsman, a professional blacksmith who creates incredible art with his hands. (Like their beautiful bed that frames their family portrait). Kylo is the first child for this couple. Goodness, he is divine with that full head of red hair and tiny creases on his forehead.

Thank you to this beautiful family for choosing me to capture this season in your lives. May Kylo always bring you joy!
